Dual Xeon E5-2660 v4 5U Server

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors. Each CPU delivers 14 cores at 2.0GHz with a 3.2GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 256GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across eight 32GB modules. A PERC H330 storage controller manages four 960GB SATA SSDs installed in the 16-bay 2.5-inch chassis. Dual 750W platinum power supplies provide redundant hot-swap power.

Virtualisation and database workloads

This server suits organisations running VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Proxmox VE virtualisation clusters. It also fits Microsoft SQL Server deployments, file and print services, and backup infrastructure. Buyers who need more than 384GB of memory, more than two processor sockets, or PCIe-attached storage interfaces beyond SAS and SATA should evaluate alternative platforms. The tower-to-rack conversion kit and front bezel are not included.

PERC H330 storage controller

The installed Dell PERC H330 12Gb/s SAS/SATA controller determines which drive types and RAID levels are supported. It connects the four 960GB SATA SSDs and any additional drives placed in the sixteen hot-swap bays. Memory capacity can be expanded to 384GB using the twelve DDR4 slots. Dual 1GbE ports and iDRAC 8 Express remote management are integrated on the motherboard.
