The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 packs dual Xeon E5-2643v3 processors and 96GB of DDR4 into a single rack unit. Four LFF drive bays and an H240ar controller provide local storage capacity for databases or virtualisation hosts. Redundant 500W supplies keep the platform running through a power-module failure.

Moving from a single-CPU system to two six-core 3.4GHz Xeons doubles the thread count to 24 with hyper-threading.
