Two-Channel RS485 Over USB

This LORDWORLD development board adds two independent RS485 channels to any host with a USB port. The onboard FT2232HL chip handles concurrent communication on both channels without extra drivers on Win10, Win11, MacOS, Linux or Android. Industrial-grade isolation and a rail-mount ABS case make it suitable for factory floors, building automation and long-distance sensor networks.

Replaces Non-Isolated Single-Port Adapters

Moving from a basic USB-to-RS485 dongle to this unit adds channel concurrency, 120R termination jumpers and full galvanic isolation on power and data lines. The jump is worth it when you must run two separate buses simultaneously or when lightning and ground-loop transients threaten equipment uptime. Built-in TVS diodes and a self-recovery fuse protect both the host and the field devices without external circuitry.

Sustained Industrial Operation

Under continuous load the isolated DC-DC supply maintains stable voltage to the RS485 transceivers while digital isolators keep signal integrity intact. The 1.2km rated distance holds because the 120R termination is jumper-selectable per channel, preventing reflections on long cable runs. Three status LEDs let operators verify power and traffic at a glance without software probes.
