The Motion Computing J3500 is a 12.1-inch slate built for professionals who need a durable Windows device in harsh mobile environments. It runs Windows 7 Professional on a 1.06GHz Intel Core i5 single-core processor with 4GB of DDR3L 1600 memory and a 64GB SSD. The AFFS+ touch WXGA LED display offers a 1280 x 800 resolution. Integrated GOBI mobile broadband, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Gigabit LAN keep the unit connected on site.

Upgrade from legacy pen-only slates

This tablet replaces older rugged slates that lack multi-touch input, solid-state storage, or integrated mobile broadband. The jump is worth it when field workflows demand simultaneous touch and stylus operation, faster boot and resume from the 64GB SSD, and always-on connectivity via GOBI without external dongles. The two included batteries support hot-swap power changes during long shifts.
