Compact 80 mm replacement fan

The Delta FFB0812VHE is a 12 V DC fan designed for CPU air coolers that require an 80 mm frame. It connects through a standard three-pin header and draws 0.57 A in normal operation. The 25 cm lead reaches most motherboard headers without extension cables.

Airflow capacity and limits

Dual ball bearings support continuous running at the rated current while the 1.35 A peak rating covers brief start-up surges. The 38 mm thickness fits standard 8038 mounting patterns but leaves no room for taller heatsinks that need a slimmer profile. Cooling headroom is defined by the single-fan design rather than a multi-fan array.

Upgrade path and fit

This unit replaces worn or noisy 80 mm fans that use the same three-pin interface and 80×80×38 mm footprint. The jump is worthwhile when the original sleeve-bearing fan has developed rattle or reduced speed.
