The TP-Link Deco X50-PoE is a three-pack of WiFi 6 mesh units designed to replace a traditional router, access point and range extender. Each unit supports AX3000 dual-band speeds of 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The system covers up to 6500 sq. ft and handles connections for up to 150 devices. It is built for homes that want flexible placement without relying on nearby power outlets.
PoE-powered installation with app setup
Each Deco unit draws power through IEEE 802.3at PoE+ via Ethernet cable, allowing ceiling or wall mounting far from sockets. A standard power adapter can also be used if PoE is unavailable. The Deco app guides the installation with on-screen directions, getting the network running in minutes. The main limitation is that a PoE+ switch or injector is required for cable-only power and is not included in the pack.

Before ordering, verify that your network infrastructure includes a PoE+ compliant switch or injector to supply power over the Ethernet runs. Ensure you have Ethernet cabling routed to the planned mounting locations for each unit.
