This 384GB kit contains six 64GB DDR4 2133MHz ECC load-reduced DIMMs built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers. The modules use a 288-pin form factor, run at 1.2V with CL15 latency, and are organised as quad-rank 4Rx4 devices. They are intended for administrators expanding memory capacity in compatible R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 and R930 platforms.
Replacing smaller LRDIMM kits with this 384GB configuration adds substantial capacity for virtualisation, database caching and in-memory analytics workloads. The jump is worthwhile when the server’s memory channels can accept six quad-rank modules and the BIOS supports the full population without down-clocking. Systems already running mixed-rank or registered ECC DIMMs cannot use this kit because load-reduced and registered types must not be combined.
Under continuous heavy utilisation the load-reduced architecture reduces electrical loading on the memory bus, helping maintain the rated 2133MHz speed across all populated channels. The 1.2V operating voltage limits power draw per module while the ECC function corrects single-bit errors during extended compute runs. Thermal output scales with total capacity, so adequate chassis airflow remains essential for stable long-term operation.
