Adding this registered DIMM expands the system's ECC-protected memory capacity by 8GB, allowing larger datasets and more virtual machines to run without paging. The CL7 latency and 1066MHz data rate maintain the platform's original timing profile. Because it uses major-brand chips, the upgrade preserves the validated signal integrity of the memory subsystem.
The 240-pin DIMM seats in a standard DDR3 registered slot; align the key notch and press until the latches click.
