This 8 GB DDR4 ECC UDIMM module runs at 2133 MHz with CL15 latency and 1.2 V operation. It uses a single-rank 1Rx8 organisation on a 288-pin DIMM form factor. The module is built specifically for servers and workstations that require error-correcting unbuffered memory.
The DDR4 2133 MHz standard tops out at the PC4-17000 data rate and requires a platform that supports ECC unbuffered DIMMs. Desktop and laptop motherboards cannot use this module because they lack the necessary memory controller and BIOS support. Mixing with non-ECC or registered DIMMs will prevent the system from posting.
Align the notch on the module with the key in the 288-pin slot and press firmly until both retention clips engage. Common issues include inserting the module into a consumer board that disables ECC, populating slots in the wrong channel order, and failing to update the system BIOS to recognise the new capacity.
