The Lenovo ThinkCentre M920s is a small-form-factor desktop built for office environments that need a capable CPU in a space-saving chassis. It ships with a six-core Intel Core i5-8500 running at 3.0 GHz, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and the system includes a single USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, six USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. No monitor, keyboard or mouse are supplied.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 65 W processor maintains its 3.0 GHz base clock across all six cores during extended multi-threaded tasks such as spreadsheet recalculation or background compilation. With 9 MB of L3 cache and six threads, the CPU handles concurrent business applications without throttling in typical office ambient temperatures. The NVMe SSD keeps application load times consistent even after repeated read-write cycles. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives dual DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor productivity.

Thermals noise and power

The small-form-factor design uses a 65 W CPU, so system power draw under load stays close to that figure plus memory and SSD overhead. Fan noise remains low during typical document and web workloads, rising only modestly during sustained heavy compute. The chassis vents warm air through the rear without requiring generous side clearance. Gigabit Ethernet provides wired connectivity; no wireless card is fitted.
