Rack Mount for 4 Raspberry Pi

This 19 1U rack mount holds up to 4 Raspberry Pi boards including the 4B, 3B+ and other B/B+ models. It also provides mounting points for four 2.5 Solid State Drives in 7mm or 9mm heights. The design targets makers and developers building compact NAS, surveillance or web server clusters.

Thermals and Power in Normal Use

The open-frame construction relies on the natural airflow of a standard rack cabinet to dissipate heat from the boards and drives. No integrated fans are included, so acoustic output depends entirely on the cooling strategy you choose. Power distribution is handled by your own supply and any PoE HATs you add.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous operation the passive layout moves heat away from the Pi processors and SSDs through convection within the rack space. Thumbscrew fastening keeps every board and drive secure during vibration or transport. Optional PoE HATs and SD card extension adapters can be fitted without removing the mount.
