The NVIDIA Quadro M5000 is a workstation graphics card built on the Maxwell architecture and equipped with 8 GB of GDDR5 memory. It connects through a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and provides 2048 CUDA cores for compute workloads. The card targets professionals running CAD, DCC or multi-display visualisation applications.
The board uses a PCIe 3.0 x16 interface, so bandwidth is limited to that generation's throughput. Display outputs consist of four DisplayPort connectors and one DVI port, supporting a maximum of four simultaneous monitors at up to 4096 x 2160 resolution at 60 Hz. Systems restricted to PCIe 2.0 or requiring more than four displays will not utilise the card fully.
The 2048 CUDA cores set the parallel processing capacity for GPU-accelerated rendering, simulation and video encoding tasks.
