This OWC kit provides 128 GB of DDR3L ECC Registered memory across four 32 GB modules. It is built for workstations, servers and NAS systems that require registered DIMMs and will not operate in standard desktop platforms.
The modules run at 1.35 V and conform to the PC3L-12800 1600 MHz CL11 JEDEC standard. Lower voltage reduces power draw and heat output compared to standard DDR3, helping dense server configurations stay within thermal limits.
Each stick uses the 240-pin RDIMM interface with 4Rx4 organisation and no heat spreader. The registered design adds a clock cycle of buffering for signal integrity in multi-DIMM populations, and the kit is validated for the listed Supermicro X9 series motherboards only.
