This 16GB kit contains two 8GB DDR3L ECC Registered RDIMMs built for Supermicro SuperBlade 7127R, 7127RG, 7127RG3, 7142G and 7427R systems. It is designed for workstations, servers and NAS devices that require registered memory with error correction. The modules will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered DIMMs. Buyers needing consumer DDR3 or higher capacities should look elsewhere.

Straightforward Module Installation

Each stick uses the standard 240-pin DDR3L form factor and operates at 1.35V, matching the voltage and keying of the original Supermicro parts. No heat spreaders are fitted, so clearance inside dense blade chassis is not affected. The most common issue is attempting to mix these registered modules with unbuffered memory or installing them in platforms that do not support ECC Registered operation, which prevents the system from posting.

Rated at DDR3L 1600 with CL11 latency, the kit delivers consistent throughput under continuous multi-threaded workloads typical of virtualization and storage servers. ECC and register buffering maintain data integrity during sustained write-heavy cycles. The 1Rx4 organization keeps electrical loading low per channel, helping stability when all slots are populated. Systems requiring faster clock speeds or lower latencies will not benefit from this specification.
