Buyers who want ECC error correction or registered buffering cannot use this module.
DDR4 2133 MHz interface limits
The DDR4 2133 standard caps transfer rate at 2133 MT/s and operates at 1.2 V. A motherboard that only supports lower DDR4 speeds will run this module at the slower rate. Systems requiring higher bandwidth or lower latency than CL15 will not reach those targets with this part. The non-ECC, unbuffered design excludes it from server platforms that mandate registered or error-correcting memory.
Tool-free DIMM installation
Installation is a DIY task: open the case, align the notch on the 288-pin edge connector with the slot key, press down until the retention clips click. The module has no heat spreader, so it fits in tight slots but offers no extra thermal margin. The usual failure is seating the stick incompletely, which causes a no-post condition; re-seating firmly solves it. Mixing this CL15 module with faster CL-rated sticks forces the system to run at the slowest common timing.
