The Partaker A8 is a new 17-inch industrial all-in-one computer with an IP65-rated front panel. It integrates an Intel Core i5 3rd Gen processor running at 1.70GHz with 8GB of DDR3L memory and a 256GB SSD. The fanless aluminium chassis houses a 10-point projected capacitive touchscreen and provides VGA, HDMI, LAN, four USB 2.0 ports, two COM ports and audio connections. It ships with Windows 10 Pro installed and supports Linux Ubuntu.

Suited for embedded industrial deployments

This unit fits machine automation, kiosk and HMI roles that demand a sealed front panel, wide operating temperatures from 0 to 50°C and fanless reliability. It is not suited for buyers who need higher display brightness, larger screen sizes or memory capacity beyond 8GB. The fixed 1280 x 1024 resolution and 250 cd/m² brightness limit use in high-ambient-light or fine-detail inspection tasks.

SODIMM DDR3L max 8GB decides compatibility

The motherboard provides a single SODIMM slot limited to DDR3L 1333/1600 with a hard maximum of 8GB RAM, so the installed 8GB module already saturates the platform. Expansion relies on one full-size Mini PCIe slot with a SIM holder for wireless modules and a 2.5-inch SATA bay for additional storage. The box includes the panel PC, a 12 V power supply, a power cord, embedded buckle kits and a warranty card. No operating-system licence, expansion cards, Wi-Fi or 4G modules, or additional storage drives are supplied.

Which memory and storage configuration should I choose?

The unit ships with 8 GB DDR3L-1333/1600 in its single SODIMM slot, already at the 8 GB maximum, and a 256 GB mSATA SSD installed. A second 2.5" SATA SSD or HDD can be added later if more capacity is needed.

What does the IP65 rating mean once the unit is mounted?

The front panel is sealed against dust and low-pressure water jets from any direction when properly embedded in a 380 × 315 mm cut-out, making it suitable for wash-down environments while the rear I/O remains unprotected.
