The Synology CLP1 adds one IP camera licence to a Synology Surveillance Station installation. It is intended for administrators who need to extend an existing deployment beyond the two licences included by default. The licence key is applied through the Surveillance Station interface and immediately enables the additional camera for configuration and management.

Sustained multi-camera operation

Each licence supports one camera stream continuously, whether the device is a standard IP camera, a panoramic model such as the Axis M3007, or a fixed-lens multi-lens unit. The system counts streams rather than physical housings, so a single panoramic or multi-lens camera that delivers multiple concurrent views consumes one licence per active stream. This behaviour remains consistent during long-term recording and live-view sessions.
