Raspberry Pi Cooling Fan 40pin
The Yahboom cooling fan attaches directly to the 40‑pin GPIO header on Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+ and 3B boards. It targets hobbyists and educators who want active temperature management without soldering or extra wiring. The unit also breaks out the header so other HATs or sensors can still be connected.
Programmable RGB OLED expansion board
Three high‑brightness RGB LEDs sit on the expansion board and can be coded to show different colours for different temperature ranges. An OLED module may be included as a random gift. The fan speed is adjusted in software based on the board temperature, and the driver package works with all standard Raspberry Pi OS images.
Replaces passive heatsinks or always‑on fans
This kit upgrades builds that rely on bare heatsinks or constant‑speed fans by adding temperature‑controlled, programmable cooling. The jump is worth it when you need quieter operation, visual temperature feedback and the ability to keep the GPIO header free for other peripherals. Not for users who only need a simple plug‑and‑spin fan without writing or running any code.

Küsimused selle toote kohta
How does the 40-pin GPIO interface handle fan control and expansion?
The fan connects directly to the 40-pin header with no wiring or wasted I/O ports, and the board also expands the header so other devices can still be attached.
What physical space does the cooling hat need on the Raspberry Pi board?
It sits on the 40-pin GPIO header as a HAT, adding a fan and RGB OLED module above the board while leaving the I/O port layout unaffected.
What software step is required before the fan will spin based on temperature?
You must run the Yahboom-provided program after powering on; until that script runs the RGB lights illuminate but the fan stays stationary.
