4 GB DDR3 ECC UDIMM for servers

This module adds four gigabytes of DDR3 1600 memory with ECC error correction to compatible servers and workstations. It uses an unbuffered 240-pin DIMM form factor and runs at the standard 1.5 V voltage. The dual-rank x8 organisation suits platforms that accept 2Rx8 modules. It is not compatible with desktop or laptop computers.

Capacity and headroom

A single 4 GB stick provides a modest capacity increase for systems with free DIMM slots. It handles light virtualisation, file serving and typical office workloads without exhausting memory. Larger databases, heavy virtualisation clusters or memory-intensive rendering will exceed this module alone and require additional sticks or higher-density modules.

Thermals noise and power

Standard 1.5 V DDR3 operation keeps power draw low and heat output minimal in normal server use. The unbuffered design has no active cooling components, so the module runs silently and relies on chassis airflow. Typical operating temperatures stay well within DDR3 limits when the system ventilation follows the manufacturer's guidelines.
