Prototyping plate for Raspberry Pi A/B
The Adafruit ADA-801 kit adds a removable prototyping plate to a Raspberry Pi Model A or Model B. It provides a large mixed layout with half breadboard-style and half perfboard-style areas. GPIO, I2C, SPI and power pins are broken out to 0.1 inch strips along the edges for easy access during development.
Check Pi model and pin alignment
This kit is designed for the original Raspberry Pi Model A or Model B boards. Verify that your board matches one of those models before ordering, as later revisions may have different pinouts or mechanical spacing. The plate snaps onto the Pi PCB and can be removed later if required.
Passive board with screw terminals
The plate draws no power of its own and adds no active cooling or noise to the system. Connections can be made through 3.5 mm screw-terminal blocks for semi-permanent wiring of sensors or LEDs. An SOIC surface-mount breakout area is also included for non-DIP components.
