The board requires a Ryzen processor from the supplier's supported list to function, including 2nd and 3rd generation models and the named 5600G, 5700G, 5600X, 5800X, 5900X and 5950X chips. It will not work with Ryzen 1300X, 1400, 1500X, 1600X, 1700X or other excluded models even after a BIOS update. Buyers who do not already own a compatible CPU cannot update the BIOS themselves.

BIOS update requires a supported processor on hand
