The H740P hardware RAID adapter supports multiple array levels across the eight installed drives, enabling redundancy or capacity tuning without host CPU overhead. iDRAC9 Enterprise provides dedicated out-of-band remote management, allowing firmware updates, power control and console access over the network even when the operating system is offline.

2.5-inch bay limit and PCIe Gen 3 ceiling

The chassis accepts only eight 2.5-inch drives, so total raw capacity is capped at the installed 16TB unless larger drives are sourced separately.
