The HP Z2 G4 Mid Tower is a new business workstation built around an Intel Core i7-9700 8-core processor with a 4.7GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 2666 memory and a 500GB NVMe SSD. The NVIDIA Quadro P1000 4GB GDDR5 graphics card provides four mini-DisplayPort 1.4 outputs for multi-monitor setups. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and digitally activated.

Professional graphics and memory

The Quadro P1000 adds certified drivers for CAD, DCC and visualisation applications that consumer cards do not guarantee. Its 4GB GDDR5 frame buffer and 128-bit interface handle moderate 3D models and up to four 4K displays. The 64GB DDR4 2666 kit (four 16GB modules) leaves two DIMM slots free for expansion to the 128GB maximum supported by the platform. Integrated Intel I219-LM Gigabit Ethernet and 5.1 high-definition audio complete the I/O.

Capacity and headroom

The 500GB NVMe boot drive offers fast OS and application loading, but project libraries and large datasets will require secondary storage that is not included. The 500W 90% efficient power supply delivers stable power for the current configuration, yet headroom for a higher-wattage GPU or additional drives is limited. The mid-tower chassis accepts standard expansion cards within its physical constraints. Buyers needing extensive local storage or dual high-end graphics cards should plan for a larger platform.
