Replaces an aging or failed EFRP-P80A unit

The supply directly replaces an original ETASIS EFRP-P80A that has reached end of life or developed coil whine or fan noise. The upgrade is worth it when the existing unit struggles with Modern Standby sleep states or when the fan runs constantly at low loads. Resonant LLC topology with DC-to-DC conversion delivers cleaner power and enables more efficient sleep states than older group-regulated designs. Zero RPM fan mode eliminates noise at low and medium loads where the original fan would still spin.

Standard ATX installation

Installation follows normal ATX mounting and connector routing; the unit fits the same screw pattern and cable layout as the original EFRP-P80A. The most common issue is forgetting to connect the 4+4-pin CPU auxiliary cable or not seating the 24-pin motherboard connector fully, which causes a no-post condition. Zero RPM mode may keep the fan off at idle, so do not assume a fault if the fan is still after boot. Verify all modular cables are the correct ones for this unit before powering on.
