Server-grade memory kit

This 256 GB kit consists of eight 32 GB DDR4 2666 ECC LRDIMM modules built for ThinkMate GPX-QT8-24E2-8GPU servers. Load-reduced architecture lowers electrical load on the memory bus so dense configurations remain stable. Each module runs at 1.2 V with CL19 latency and 2Rx4 organisation. The kit targets administrators who need maximum capacity in qualified GPU-optimised platforms.

ECC load-reduced design

Error-correcting code detects and corrects single-bit errors to protect data integrity in mission-critical workloads. Load-reduced buffering allows all eight slots to be populated without exceeding the memory controller’s electrical limits. Modules use Samsung, Micron or Hynix components and are stress-tested under load before shipping. No heat spreaders are fitted, relying on server chassis airflow for cooling.

Capacity headroom

The 256 GB total supports large virtualisation clusters, in-memory databases and multi-GPU compute jobs that exceed typical registered DIMM limits. Eight populated slots leave no free DIMM positions for future expansion on this platform. Workloads requiring more memory per channel or higher frequencies than DDR4 2666 will need a different server architecture.
