The Zebra DS3608-DP20CC3VTNA is a new handheld imager built for workers who scan thousands of direct part marks each shift on the plant floor. It reads 1D and 2D codes printed on labels or etched onto metal, plastic and glass in virtually any condition. The ultra-rugged housing survives 8.00 ft drops and punishing industrial environments. Vibration feedback confirms good reads without audible beeps.

31-degree horizontal field of view

The imager captures a 31 degree horizontal by 23 degree vertical window and tolerates pitch and yaw of ±60 degree plus full ±360 degree roll. That orientation freedom lets operators scan marks at almost any angle without repositioning the part or the scanner. First listed by the manufacturer in 2022, the engine targets high-throughput traceability workflows where missed reads slow the line.

Host-powered USB or RS232 with optional 12 V supply

The scanner draws 360 mA typical operating current and 100 mA standby from a 4.5 to 5.5 VDC host port, or from an external 11.4 to 12.6 VDC supply when the host cannot deliver enough power. Interfaces include USB, RS232 and Keyboard Wedge plus industrial Ethernet protocols EtherNet/IP, Profinet and Modbus TCP. A cable is required and sold separately. The 7.30 x 3.00 x 5.20 inch, 0.67 lb body fits existing holsters and workstations. Buyers needing wireless mobility or a wider field of view should look elsewhere.
