The Adamant Custom tower pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X running at 4.3 GHz with 192 GB of DDR5 memory. A 360 mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable under sustained multi-threaded loads. The Radeon RX 9070 XT with 12 GB of video memory handles 4K gaming and GPU-accelerated creative tasks. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed on the 8 TB NVMe array.

Two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives

The boot volume uses a pair of PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs rated for sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. That bandwidth shortens level loads, scrubs through large timelines and keeps virtual machines responsive. The mechanical drive adds 10 TB of bulk capacity with a 256 MB cache for archives, backups and media libraries that do not need SSD speed.

PCIe 4.0 x4 caps the SSD ceiling

Each M.2 slot on the X870 motherboard is limited to four lanes of PCIe 4.0, so the 990 PRO drives cannot exceed their rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write. Builders who need PCIe 5.0 throughput for future drives will find no headroom here. The board does provide three M.2 connectors in total, but only two are populated in this configuration.
