Half-width blade server

The Dell PowerEdge MX760C is a half-width blade server designed for dense compute clusters. It ships with two Intel Gold 6448Y processors, each running at 2.1 GHz with 32 cores and 60 MB cache. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4 memory across four 16 GB modules. This configuration targets virtualisation hosts and database workloads that demand high core counts in a compact form factor.

Modular I/O and storage bays

Six 2.5-inch drive bays hold 1.92 TB SATA SSDs managed by an H755 MX RAID controller. The chassis supports up to two pairs of redundant general-purpose switch or pass-through modules in Fabrics A and B, plus a redundant pair of storage-specific switch bays in Fabric C, none of which are included. A Marvell FastLinQ 41262 mezzanine card provides dual 25 Gb CNA connectivity for converged network traffic.

Remote management and thermals

iDRAC9 Express enables out-of-band monitoring and firmware updates without requiring host OS access. The blade relies on shared chassis cooling fans, so acoustic output and thermal behaviour depend on the enclosure configuration and workload intensity. Power draw scales with CPU utilisation across the 64 total cores and the six solid-state drives.
