Dual-processor Xeon server

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo and 14 cores. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across eight 32 GB modules, leaving four of twelve slots free for expansion up to 384 GB. The system targets virtualisation hosts, database workloads and file-serving roles that benefit from high core counts and large memory capacity.

HBA330 storage controller limits

Storage is managed by a Dell PERC HBA330 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA controller operating in HBA mode without onboard RAID processing. Four 960 GB 2.5-inch SATA SSDs are pre-installed in the front bays, leaving twelve additional 2.5-inch hot-swap bays available for SAS, SATA or SSD media. The controller presents drives directly to the operating system, so software RAID or a separate RAID card is required for hardware redundancy.

Redundant power and remote management

Two hot-swap 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies provide N+1 redundancy and can be replaced without downtime. Integrated iDRAC 8 Express enables out-of-band remote console, power control and firmware updates over a dedicated management port. Dual embedded 1 GbE ports handle production traffic, while PCIe slots remain open for additional networking or storage adapters. The front bezel and rack rails are not included.
