Dual-socket Xeon tower server

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower server fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency and 14 cores. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across twelve DIMM slots and a PERC H330 controller driving four 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives. The platform targets virtualization, database and file-serving workloads that benefit from dual-processor compute density.

Check rack space and memory growth

The chassis occupies 5U of rack height and supports an optional conversion kit for rack mounting, so verify cabinet clearance before ordering. Memory can expand to 384 GB using the twelve available slots, and the sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays accept additional SAS, SATA or SSD devices beyond the four drives installed. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies provide redundancy, but front bezel and ready rails are not included.

Redundant power and remote management

Hot-swap power supplies and drive bays allow component replacement without shutting down the server, reducing downtime during maintenance. The integrated iDRAC 8 Express controller gives out-of-band remote access for monitoring, firmware updates and power cycling from any network location. Dual onboard gigabit Ethernet ports handle management and production traffic, while PCI Express slots remain open for additional RAID, networking or accelerator cards.
