Socket 1150 micro-ATX board

The GIGABYTE GA-H81M-S1 (rev. 2.1) is an Intel H81 micro-ATX motherboard built for the LGA 1150 platform. It accepts Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors and provides two DDR3 slots for up to 16 GB of dual-channel memory. A single PCI Express x16 slot and two x1 slots handle graphics and add-in cards.

Passive chipset cooling

The H81 chipset runs without a fan so the board adds no active noise of its own. Power draw is limited to the CPU, memory and any installed expansion cards. Rear I/O includes two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, PS/2 keyboard and mouse connectors and a D-Sub video output driven by the processor's integrated graphics.

Two SATA 6Gb/s ports

Storage connects through two SATA 6Gb/s headers while front-panel USB 3.0 and audio headers are available on the PCB. The Realtek ALC887 codec supports up to 7.1-channel audio when a compatible front-panel module is fitted. A single Gigabit LAN port provides wired networking at 1 Gbps.
