All-in-One SATA IDE USB 3.0 Adapter
This LUOM SA28 adapter connects any standard 2.5in or 3.5in SATA or IDE hard drive to a computer through an available USB 3.0 port. It also supports optical drives such as DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. The included 12V/2A power adapter and 4-pin power cable allow drives to operate outside a computer case. No driver installation is required for Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS.
Suits users with mixed legacy and modern drives
Ideal for technicians or home users who need to access data from older 40-pin or 44-pin IDE drives alongside current SATA drives without opening a chassis. It is not suited for builders who need an internal mounting solution or buyers who require a docking station with multiple simultaneous drive bays.
USB 3.0 transfer rate up to 5Gbps
The adapter delivers super-speed USB 3.0 performance up to 5Gbps and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 at 12 Mbps. Actual throughput depends on the connected drive. An LED indicator shows power and activity status during operation.
