ThinkMate Rackmount Server Memory Kit

This 1 TB kit contains eight 128 GB DDR4 3200 RDIMM modules built for ThinkMate rackmount servers including the RAX-XN24, XS4, XT10, XS8, XH8, XH10, XH12, XT24 and S3 models. Each module is ECC registered with a 4Rx4 organisation and operates at 1.2 V. The kit targets administrators who need maximum supported capacity in these qualified platforms.

DDR4 3200 Registered ECC Limits

The DDR4 3200 standard tops out at 25 600 MT/s transfer rate with CL22 latency on registered DIMMs. Registered signalling adds one clock cycle of buffering, which stabilises heavy loads but prevents use in consumer desktop boards that expect unbuffered modules. ECC functionality requires a server chipset and BIOS that expose the correction logic; without both the modules will not provide error detection.

4Rx4 Rank Density Decides Fit

Each 128 GB module uses a 4Rx4 rank structure, which is the single specification that determines whether the server’s memory controller can address the full capacity. If the ThinkMate platform’s qualified vendor list does not explicitly support 4Rx4 RDIMMs at 3200 MT/s the system will not recognise the memory or will down-clock it. Verify the exact rank requirement in the server documentation before purchase.
