The Silicon Power Slim S55 is a 2.5-inch internal solid-state drive with 480GB capacity. It uses TLC memory and a SATA III interface for consumer PCs and ultra-slim notebooks. The 7mm height fits Ultrabooks and standard drive bays alike.
SATA III 6Gbps interface limits and compatibility
The drive connects through the SATA III 6Gbps interface, which is backwards compatible with SATA II 3Gbps ports. Sequential reads reach up to 520 MBps and writes up to 480 MBps on this bus. Random 4KB performance peaks at 43,000 IOPS read and 24,000 IOPS write. TRIM, Garbage Collection, NCQ and RAID support are included.
7mm form factor decides fit
