The Transcend JetDrive 720 is a 480GB internal solid-state drive built for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with Retina display. It uses MLC flash memory and connects through a SATA 6Gb/s interface to replace the factory storage module. The kit includes tools and an aluminum USB 3.0 enclosure so the original drive can be reused externally.

The drive slides into the MacBook's existing SATA slot without adapters, freeing the original SSD for external duty inside the supplied USB 3.0 enclosure. No extra cables or docks are required; the enclosure draws power from the USB port and provides a second portable volume for backups or file transfer.
