4MP dome camera for PoE surveillance

This Uniview dome camera captures 4MP video at up to 30 frames per second using a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and a fixed 2.8mm lens. It supports Ultra 265, H.265, H.264 and MJPEG compression to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements. The camera is powered via PoE or 12V DC and includes a built-in microphone for audio recording. Smart IR illumination reaches up to 30m for night-time monitoring.

Limits of Ultra 265 and ONVIF integration

Ultra 265 compression works only with recorders or software that explicitly decode the codec; otherwise the stream falls back to H.265, H.264 or MJPEG. ONVIF compliance enables basic interoperability, yet advanced analytics such as intrusion detection, people counting and crowd density monitoring may require a compatible Uniview NVR or VMS to function fully. Micro SD recording is capped at 256GB and the camera operates in humidity up to 95% RH non-condensing.

Check PoE budget and lens coverage before ordering

Verify that your PoE switch or injector delivers sufficient power for the camera’s DC 12V±25% requirement. Confirm the fixed 2.8mm focal length provides the desired field of view for the installation site, as the lens cannot be adjusted remotely. Ensure the recorder or storage platform supports Ultra 265, H.265, H.264 or MJPEG at 2688×1520 resolution and 30fps. The dome housing is rated for indoor or sheltered outdoor use only.
