The APC Smart-UPS SMT2200 is a 1920 W tower UPS designed to keep rack-mounted servers, storage arrays and network switches running during utility outages or brownouts. Its 120 V input and output suit North American IT closets and small data rooms.
Replaces basic surge strips
A jump to this model is warranted when connected loads exceed the capacity of entry-level units or when runtime must survive extended power events. The 3-hour recharge cycle and user-replaceable RBC55 battery module let administrators restore full protection without replacing the entire chassis.
Ten outlets handle dense equipment racks
Eight NEMA 5-15R and two NEMA 5-20R receptacles support mixed plug types at up to 2200 VA. The 530 J surge rating absorbs transient spikes, while the SmartSlot interface accepts optional management cards for remote monitoring. Loads above 1920 W will overload the inverter.
