This ASUS expansion card adds four M.2 Socket 3 M-Key slots to a desktop system. It accepts NVMe drives in 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 lengths. The card plugs into a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and also works in x8 or x16 mechanical slots. A built-in heatsink and blower-style fan keep all four drives cool under heavy load.

For Intel VROC or AMD Threadripper RAID builds

The card is designed for users who want a bootable NVMe RAID array using Intel VROC on X299 or Z370 motherboards, or AMD Ryzen Threadripper on X399, X470, B450, X370 or B350 boards. It requires CPU-attached PCIe lanes and platform RAID support. Builders without a compatible Intel or AMD Threadripper platform cannot use the RAID features and should look at a different controller.
