USB 3.0 Interface Limit

The adapter runs at its rated 2.5 Gbps only when connected to a USB 3.0 or newer port. On a USB 2.0 port the link drops to 10/100 Mbps, so the full speed cannot be realised on older hosts. Driver-free operation is provided for Windows 11/10/8.1/8 and macOS; Windows 7 and XP require a separate driver installation.

2.5 Gbps Capacity Headroom

At 2.5 Gbps the adapter comfortably handles multi-gigabit NAS access, 4K media streaming and competitive gaming traffic. It remains backward compatible with 1000/100/10 Mbps networks, so it works on existing switches. The device does not support Nintendo Switch consoles.
