The Buffalo LinkStation 720 delivers 16 TB of pre-installed storage in a desktop enclosure. A hexa-core 1.3 GHz processor and 2 GB of memory handle file serving, backup and media streaming for workgroups that need a simple private cloud without subscription fees.
Single 2.5 GbE link and USB expansion
One 2.5GBASE-T RJ-45 port connects the unit to a switch or router, while two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and one USB 2.0 port accept external drives or printers. The internal AC supply runs on 100–240 V at 48 W maximum, so the NAS plugs directly into standard office power.
Ships in RAID 1 with closed firmware
Drives arrive configured as a mirrored pair, giving 8 TB usable capacity and automatic redundancy. The closed operating system limits third-party attack surface and enforces SSL encryption on transfers. Direct Copy moves files between attached USB storage and the array without a host computer.
