Three-Bay SATA/IDE Docking Station

The Compulab 893U3ISC is a three-bay external enclosure that accepts two 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives and one 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch IDE drive simultaneously. It connects to a host via a USB 3.0 interface and includes a built-in two-port USB 2.0 hub plus multi-format card slots for MS, M2, XD, CF, SD and TF media. The unit is designed for users who need quick, tool-free access to legacy and current bare drives for data recovery, archiving or cloning tasks.

Replaces Separate Adapters and Cloning Boxes

This single device replaces the need for individual SATA-to-USB adapters, an IDE-to-USB bridge and a standalone hardware duplicator. The jump is worth it when you regularly swap between SATA and IDE drives or require offline sector-by-sector copying without a PC. The offline clone function copies from source drives in bay B or C to the target in bay A at speeds of 70 to 100 MB/s, provided the source capacity does not exceed the target. It also allows simultaneous reading of two installed drives.

Handles Up to 6 TB Per Drive With USB 3.0 Bandwidth

Each bay supports drives up to 6 TB, giving a practical ceiling of 12 TB across two concurrently accessed SATA volumes. The USB 3.0 link provides up to 5 Gbps theoretical throughput, while the USB 2.0 hub ports operate at 480 Mbps for peripherals. The enclosure will not accommodate drives larger than 6 TB, nor does it support Western Digital branded mechanisms. Operating system support includes Windows 2000 through Windows 8, Linux and Mac OS, though Windows XP is limited to 2 TB volumes.
