This 8 GB kit contains two 4 GB DDR3 SODIMM modules rated at 1066 MHz with CL7 timings. It is built for the HP G Notebook models G62-456TU, G62-b50SV and G62-b60SD. The unbuffered, non-ECC sticks run at 1.5 V and use major-brand chips. Buyers who need higher frequencies, ECC support or capacities above 8 GB should look elsewhere.
Replaces Factory Memory
The kit upgrades the original 2 GB or 4 GB modules shipped in these notebooks. A 64-bit operating system is required to address the full 8 GB; a 32-bit OS limits usable memory to 4 GB. Systems based on the Intel GL40 chipset cannot use more than 4 GB regardless of the modules installed. The memory bus will operate at 1066 MHz even if faster DDR3-1333 modules are fitted.
Straightforward Installation
