The Dell PowerEdge R430 packs two Xeon E5-2650v3 ten-core processors running at 2.3 GHz into a 1U chassis. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory across twelve DIMM slots and a PERC H330 RAID controller. The platform targets small-to-medium workloads that need dual-socket compute density in minimal rack space.

Hot-plug bays and redundant power

Eight 2.5-inch hot-plug drive bays accept SAS or SATA drives without shutting down the system. A single 550 W hot-swap power supply provides redundancy inside the 1U form factor. Four onboard 1 GbE ports handle network traffic, while two PCIe 3.0 slots remain available for additional controllers or accelerators.

iDRAC8 remote management included

The integrated iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller gives out-of-band access for deployment, monitoring and firmware updates from anywhere. A DVD-ROM drive is fitted for legacy media installs. No operating system, rail kit, bezel, drive trays, keyboard, mouse or video cable are supplied in the box.
