This 2U rack system ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processors running at 2.2 GHz with 3.6 GHz turbo. Twenty-four 32 GB DDR4 registered ECC modules provide 768 GB of memory across 24 slots, expandable to 1.5 TB. The platform targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, VDI, databases and HPC data nodes.

PERC H730 controller and quad-port networking

The Dell PERC H730 1 GB controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through modes for the eight 300 GB 10K SAS drives. An Intel X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports. iDRAC 8 Enterprise enables full remote management. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and sliding rails with bezel complete the bundle.

Tool-less rails simplify rack mounting.

The included Ready Rails allow tool-less installation in standard 4-post racks. Hot-swap drive bays and redundant power supplies let you replace components without downtime.
