The jump is worthwhile for virtualization clusters, database nodes and compute-heavy applications that can use the second processor and the 32 available DIMM slots. Buyers who need more than two processors or higher core counts per socket cannot be served by this chassis.

PCIe Gen4 And OCP 3.0 Limits

The platform uses PCIe Gen4 for internal expansion and an OCP 3.0 slot for the included Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE network card.
