Sixteen gigabytes of registered ECC DDR4 memory is installed across 12 slots, leaving room to grow to 384 GB. The system is aimed at small-office and remote-office deployments that need collaboration, mail, file, print or web services in a single box.

Eight 3.5-inch drive bays with H730 RAID

The chassis provides eight hot-swap trays for 3.5-inch SATA or SAS drives, but no drives are included. A Dell PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, plus pass-through mode, so the storage configuration is entirely up to the builder.

Redundant 750 W platinum supplies

Dual redundant 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies keep the server running if one unit fails. Integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE networking and iDRAC 8 Express give out-of-band control without extra cards. The front bezel is included; plastic feet are not.
