Open the chassis, insert each drive at an angle into the M.2 2280 slot, secure with the screw, and close the case; the step often missed is tightening the screw so the drive makes full contact with the thermal pad.
Blow dust from the fan intakes and heatsink fins every few months; the thermal pads on the DDR5 and SSD areas should be checked when drives are swapped.
