This 1U rack server uses a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 v3 six-core processor at 1.6GHz with 4GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. The Smart HBA H240 controller supports SAS and SATA drives at RAID 0, 1 and 5 across eight 2.5-inch bays. A 550W redundant hot-swap power supply is fitted and no operating system is included.

Entry-scale compute and storage density

Suits web serving, virtualization hosts and cold-storage tiers needing up to 36 cores and 1TB of DDR4 across 16 DIMM slots. Buyers who need GPU compute, high-speed boot drives or 10Gb networking out of the box should look elsewhere because the Matrox G200 provides only 16MB video memory and the embedded NIC is limited to 1Gb.

Smart HBA H240 RAID controller

The on-board H240 handles 12Gb SAS and 6Gb SATA with RAID 0, 1 and 5, so the eight SFF bays can be configured for redundancy or capacity without an extra card. If a workload requires RAID 6, 10 or 50 the controller will not support it and a different HBA must be sourced.
