This configuration suits workloads that need fast 15K SAS spindles and hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60 via the Smart HBA H240ar controller. The 8-bay SFF chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drives. It is not for buyers who need more than two processor sockets, installed GPU compute, or a pre-loaded operating system.

Single Processor Installed

The server arrives with one E5-2643v3 CPU installed and supports a second processor to reach the 36-core maximum. Memory scales to 3 TB across 24 DDR4 slots when both sockets are populated. The current 32 GB fits in half the slots, leaving headroom for expansion.
