The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single Xeon E5-2640 v3 eight-core processor at 2.6 GHz with 4 GB DDR4 ECC memory. Four LFF drive bays accept 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives through the H240ar controller. Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy in a 1U form factor.

Build integration: storage and expansion

The H240ar controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the four large-form-factor bays. Twenty-four DIMM slots allow memory growth up to the processor limit. An embedded 331i quad-port 1 GbE adapter handles networking without extra cards. A second processor can be added to double cores and memory channels.

Sustained-load behaviour

Redundant power supplies and hot-swap drive trays keep the system running during drive or power-module replacement. The Matrox G200 graphics with 16 MB video memory provides basic console output without driver overhead. ECC registered DDR4 protects data integrity during long compute tasks. No operating system is included.
